Install a Marketing Team Into Your AI

46 free pro marketing playbooks you can load into Claude or ChatGPT in about two minutes, so your AI stops giving generic advice and starts working like a specialist you never had to hire.

Before we get into it

The hardest part of running a solo business is not the work. It's the roles.

You are the copywriter. You are the ads person. You are the SEO person, the email person, the pricing person, and the one who has to decide whether any of it is working. A real company would have five people on that. You have you, and a Tuesday.

So most of us do what I did for years: ask AI to write the email, take whatever comes back, and quietly notice it sounds like every other email on the internet. That's not the AI being bad. That's the AI having no framework to work from. Ask a generalist a specialist question and you get a generalist answer.

There's a fix, it's free, and it takes about two minutes per install.

Generic prompt in, generic marketing out. Professional framework in, and the same AI starts sounding like someone who does this for a living.

What this actually is

A marketer named Corey Haines published a free library of 46 marketing playbooks built to be installed directly into Claude or ChatGPT. You can find it at github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills.

Each one is a "skill," which is a set of professional frameworks your AI reads before it answers. Once a skill is installed, you stop getting the average of everything on the internet and start getting the method an actual specialist would use.

Here's what the library covers:

Cost is zero. It works on the free plan of Claude. It works in the ChatGPT desktop app. You do not need to code.

I want to be clear that this is not my library. I did not build it and I make nothing from it. I'm writing this up because it's the most useful free thing I've installed this year, and the setup instructions are the part most people get stuck on.

1. Install on ChatGPT

This is the easy one. Three steps.

  1. Open the ChatGPT desktop app and start a new chat
  2. Go to the GitHub library, open the folder for the skill you want, and copy the link from your browser
  3. Paste that link into the chat and type "Install this skill"

That's it. ChatGPT pulls the framework and it's ready to use.

One catch worth knowing before you try: this only works in the desktop app. Not the website, not mobile. If you paste a link into the browser version it will just look at it like any other link and nothing gets installed.

2. Install on Claude

Claude takes five steps instead of three, because you upload the skill as a file rather than a link. Do it once and the rest take a minute each.

  1. On the GitHub page, click the green Code button, choose Download ZIP, then unzip it on your computer
  2. Open the skills folder, find the folder for the skill you want, and make a zip of that one folder
  3. In Claude, go to Settings → Capabilities and turn on Code execution and file creation
  4. Click Customize at the bottom left, go to Skills, hit the + button, choose Upload a skill, and pick your zip
  5. Toggle the skill on in the list

The step everyone gets wrong is step 2. You want to zip the skill's folder, the one with SKILL.md inside it. Not the SKILL.md file on its own, and not the whole library at once. Zip the folder.

When it doesn't work

Two things go wrong, and both are quick fixes.

3. How to actually use them

Installing is the easy part. The mistake I made early was installing a pile of them and then prompting exactly the way I always had.

Name the skill in your prompt. If your AI isn't reaching for it on its own, tell it which one to use.

Content strategy

Build me a full content strategy for my business.

Here's what I do: [DESCRIBE YOUR BUSINESS, WHO YOU SERVE, WHAT YOU SELL]

Use my content-strategy skill.

Ad creative

Write me 10 ad variations for [PRODUCT] aimed at [AUDIENCE],
with different angles and hooks.

Use my ad-creative skill.

Email sequence

Write a 5-email welcome sequence for someone who just signed up
for [PRODUCT].

Use my emails skill.

Landing page rewrite

Rewrite my homepage to convert better.

Here's the current copy:
[PASTE YOUR CURRENT COPY]

Use my copywriting and cro skills.

Notice that last one uses two skills at once. That's where this gets good.

4. Build your solo marketing team

You do not need all 46. Loading everything is how you end up using none of it.

Start with product-marketing. That one is the base, because it works out your positioning, your audience, and what you actually sell. The other skills read that context and get sharper because of it. Install it first and answer its questions honestly.

Then add four:

That's your starting five. Add pricing, cro, or social later, once you hit the specific problem each one solves.

Once they're in, you can run the whole team at once:

Using my marketing skills, build me a full go-to-market plan for [PRODUCT]:
positioning, the core copy, 3 ad concepts, a welcome email sequence,
and the top SEO pages to create.

That single prompt is the closest thing to a marketing department I've had as a one-person business.

The short version

Everything above on one screen:

Your next step

Reading about this changes nothing, so do the small version today.

  1. Install product-marketing first, on whichever tool you already pay for
  2. Answer its questions about your business properly, not in a rush
  3. Add copywriting, then run one real piece of copy through it, something you already published
  4. Compare the two versions side by side

That comparison is the moment it clicks. You'll see the gap between what you were getting and what the same tool gives you with a real framework behind it.

You are still a one-person business. You just stopped doing five jobs with no playbook for any of them.

Marketing is one slice of the work. The Solopreneur Skill Stack covers the other skills worth installing if you write, film, or publish for a living.
