Before we get into it
Let me be straight with you.
A couple of years ago I was doing everything manually. Writing every caption. Building every funnel from scratch. Sending follow-up emails one by one. Staying up until 2am trying to keep up with content. I was making money, but I was also exhausted and one bad week away from burning out completely.
Then I started using AI the right way. Not as a gimmick. Not as a shortcut. As an actual operating system for my business.
Within 90 days my content output tripled, my funnel conversion improved, and I got back 15+ hours a week without hiring a single person.
That's what this guide is about. Not AI hype. Not a tool list. The actual workflows I use every day to run a solo operation.
"AI didn't replace my business. It became the engine that runs it."
How to use this guide
Each section covers one area of my business. For every area I'll show you the problem it used to create, exactly how I use AI to handle it now, the prompt style I use so you can copy it, and the real result I get.
You don't need to implement everything at once. Pick one section. Get it working. Then move to the next. That's how you build a stack that actually sticks.
1. Content creation
Before AI: I was spending 4 to 6 hours a week just writing captions, hooks, and scripts. I'd stare at a blank page for 20 minutes trying to come up with a hook. I posted inconsistently because creating content felt like a second job on top of my actual business.
After AI: I batch my entire week of content in one 90-minute session. Claude knows my brand voice, my audience, and my offers, so everything comes out sounding like me instead of like a robot.
The workflow:
- Open Claude and give it my content topic, or a viral transcript I want to rebuild
- Tell it the format (Reel, carousel, email, thread)
- Claude gives me a full script, hook options, and a CTA, ready to film or post
- I spend 10 minutes tweaking instead of 60 minutes writing from scratch
Prompt: weekly content batch
I'm Mike Garvey, an AI-powered solopreneur teaching beginners how to make
money online through digital products, affiliate marketing, and content
creation. My audience is 25 to 34, dealing with job insecurity and inflation.
They're skeptical but motivated. My voice is direct, no-BS, and
beginner-friendly.
Give me 5 Instagram Reel hooks for this week based on this topic:
[INSERT TOPIC]
Each hook should stop the scroll in the first 2 seconds and connect to my
audience's fear of being left behind financially.
Five scroll-stopping hooks in under a minute. I pick the best two, film both, and post across the week.
Prompt: viral transcript rebuild
This is one of my most powerful workflows. When I see a video going viral in my niche, or even in a completely different niche, I grab the transcript and feed it to Claude.
Here is a transcript from a viral video:
[PASTE TRANSCRIPT]
Analyze why this went viral: the hook mechanics, emotional trigger, and
structure. Then rewrite it completely in my brand voice, connecting the topic
to AI, solopreneurship, or digital income. Make it ready to film word for word.
Output format: [Reel / TikTok / YouTube Short]
A brand new script in my voice, connected to my audience, in under two minutes. Any topic, any niche, fully adapted.
2. Funnels and copy
Before AI: Writing a landing page took me an entire day. Sales emails took hours. I second-guessed every headline and usually ended up with something average because I ran out of patience.
After AI: I can build a complete funnel, opt-in page, sales page, thank you page, and a five-email welcome sequence, in one afternoon. The copy converts because Claude understands my audience's pain points better than most copywriters I've paid.
Prompt: landing page copy
Write a landing page for my free lead magnet called [NAME].
My audience is beginners aged 25 to 34 dealing with job insecurity who want to
build income online. They are skeptical because they've been burned by fake
gurus.
The page needs: a headline, sub-headline, 3 bullet point benefits, a trust
statement, and a CTA button.
Tone: direct, honest, zero hype. No income claims.
Full landing page copy in 90 seconds. I paste it into Systeme.io, adjust the design, and it's live.
Prompt: five-email welcome sequence
Write a 5-email welcome sequence for new subscribers who just downloaded my
free guide: [GUIDE NAME]
Email 1: deliver the guide and set expectations
Email 2: my origin story (military contractor to solopreneur)
Email 3: the biggest mistake beginners make
Email 4: a quick win they can implement today
Email 5: soft pitch to [OFFER NAME]
Tone: direct, real, no hype, beginner-friendly.
Five emails done in one session, loaded into Systeme.io. My list gets nurtured automatically while I focus on content.
3. Digital products
Before AI: Creating a new digital product, even a simple guide or mini course, could take weeks. Outlining, writing, formatting, designing. By the time I finished I was too tired to market it properly.
After AI: I can go from idea to finished product in a weekend. Claude handles the structure, the writing, and the formatting outline. I provide the expertise and the final edit.
The workflow:
- Tell Claude the product name, format, and target audience
- Claude generates a full outline with sections, subsections, and key talking points
- Go section by section and have Claude write the content in my voice
- Review, edit, and add my own stories and examples
- Export, brand it, and it's ready to sell
Prompt: digital product outline
Create a complete outline for a digital guide called [PRODUCT NAME] for
beginners aged 25 to 34 who want to [DESIRED OUTCOME].
Include an introduction, 5 main sections with 3 subsections each, and a
conclusion with a next step CTA. Each section should teach one specific
actionable thing.
Keep the language simple. No jargon. This is for someone who has never done
this before.
A complete product outline in two minutes. What used to take a full day of planning is done before my coffee gets cold.
4. Audience and DMs
Before AI: I loved connecting with my audience but couldn't keep up. DMs piled up. Comment replies took forever. I'd either give generic responses or spend an hour doing what should take 15 minutes.
After AI: I use AI to draft thoughtful responses at scale. I still review and send everything myself, but the drafting takes seconds. My audience feels heard and I don't burn out.
Prompt: DM response templates
Write 5 DM response templates for my Instagram account. I'm an AI-powered
solopreneur teaching digital marketing.
The DMs are from people asking about:
1. How to start making money online
2. Whether my course is worth it
3. How I use AI in my business
4. What platform to start on
5. How long it takes to make their first sale
Each response should be warm, direct, 3 to 4 sentences, and end with a soft
CTA or a question that continues the conversation.
Five templates ready to go. I keep them saved and customize the first sentence for each person. It feels personal and takes 30 seconds a reply.
For comments, I do the same thing in bulk. Every morning I screenshot my top comments, describe them to Claude, and get 10 replies drafted in one shot. I copy, paste, and personalize lightly. Engagement stays high without it eating my morning.
5. Strategy and decisions
This is the one most people don't talk about, and it might be the most useful of all.
Before AI: Big decisions felt lonely. Should I launch this product? Is this offer positioned right? What's my next move? I'd either overthink it alone or pay for a coaching call just to think out loud.
After AI: I use Claude as a strategic thinking partner. I dump my situation, my goals, and my questions, and I get back a structured analysis that helps me think clearly and move faster.
Prompt: weekly business review
I'm an AI-powered solopreneur running a digital marketing business solo.
Here's my situation this week:
[DESCRIBE: what's working, what's not, revenue, content performance, offers]
My 90-day goal is [GOAL].
Based on this, give me:
1. Your honest assessment of what I should focus on
2. One thing I should stop doing
3. One thing I should double down on
4. My highest-leverage move this week
A clear strategic brief in under a minute. I do this every Monday morning. It replaced a coaching subscription I was paying for monthly.
Prompt: offer audit
Here is my current offer:
[DESCRIBE OFFER: name, price, what's included, who it's for]
My target audience is beginners aged 25 to 34 dealing with financial stress.
Audit this offer for me. Is the positioning clear? Is the price right for this
audience? What objections will they have? How would you rewrite the offer
description to convert skeptical beginners?
Be brutally honest.
An honest audit that tells me exactly what to fix, with no sugarcoating. This alone has improved conversion on every product I've run through it.
What this actually saves me
An honest look at where the hours go back:
- Content scripting. Batch 7 days of scripts in one 90-minute session. Saves 4 to 5 hours.
- Email writing. Full sequences drafted in one sitting. Saves 3 to 4 hours.
- Funnel copy. Landing and sales pages built in an afternoon. Saves 6 to 8 hours.
- DM responses. Templates drafted, personalized in 30 seconds each. Saves 2 to 3 hours.
- Product creation. Outlines and drafts done in hours instead of days. Saves 8 to 10 hours.
- Strategic planning. Weekly review done in 15 minutes. Saves 1 to 2 hours.
That adds up to somewhere between 24 and 32 hours a week. Close to a full work week, every week.
The tools I actually use
You don't need 20 tools. You need the right ones.

Your next step
You now have the framework I use to run a solo business with AI. No team. No burnout. No ceiling.
A framework without implementation is just reading, so here's what to do right now:
- Pick ONE section that addresses your biggest current problem
- Open Claude and run that prompt today
- Screenshot the result and notice the time you saved
- Come back and implement the next section
The solopreneurs winning right now aren't the ones with the most followers or the biggest budgets. They're the ones who figured out how to do more with less.
You don't need a team. You need a stack.
