Remove the Watermark From Your Google Flow Videos

Hey! Quick one today,

If you've been using Google Flow to generate videos, you already know the free version slaps a watermark on everything you export. The "solution" everyone points you to is upgrading to a paid plan. Skip it. There's a free tool that does the job in about 10 minutes, and you'll never have to think about it again.

  • The free editor that strips watermarks cleanly

  • Step-by-step walkthrough (works on Mac and Windows)

  • Why this matters more than it seems for solopreneurs

👇 Here's the step-by-step:

  1. Go to shotcut.org and download the free version for your operating system.

  2. Install it and open the app.

  3. Create a new project — pick a save location, name it, and hit start.

  4. Click "Open File" and import the watermarked video.

  5. Drag the clip onto the timeline.

  6. Click "Filters," hit the plus icon, and search for "Spot Remover."

  7. Add the filter — a small box will appear over your video preview. Drag it directly over the watermark and resize it to fully cover the logo.

  8. Shotcut blends the area into the surrounding footage automatically.

  9. Repeat steps 5–8 for any additional clips.

  10. When you're done, click "Export" → "Export Video and Audio," choose your save location, name the file, and export.

That's it. Clean video, no watermark, no cost.

👉 One more thing

This is a small trick, but it's a good example of a bigger habit worth building as a solopreneur:

Before you upgrade a plan or buy a tool to solve a problem, spend 10 minutes checking if a free option already solves it. Shotcut is a full video editor, most people will only ever use it for this one filter, and that's fine. You don't need the fanciest tool in your stack. You need the cheapest one that gets the job done. That mindset compounds fast when you're running lean.

Mike
